Question: “Derek, can you tell me EXACTLY what I get when I join CopyHour?”
You skimmed the sales letter my friend, didn’t you? But that’s okay, I still love you.
Here’s how CopyHour works:
Right when you join you’ll create a login for the CopyHour members area. You’ll have access to ALL the bonus training materials.
The course will start on the following Monday when Module 1 will be released. The training modules are released every week.
Alongside the training modules, you’ll receive 90 days of assignments via email. These assignments include training and example copy. We’ll look at some older sales letters but mostly modern day sales pages, VSL’s, and email sequences that are converting.
CopyHour follows a full SALES MESSAGE STRUCTURE that you can use. Each assignment will show you how the ads and sales messages we’re looking at fit into this structure.
I’ll send you an assignment at 6pm-9pm your local time, Sunday-Thursday night. Friday will have a bonus assignment for Saturday. And Saturday night’s assignment will be to take Sunday completely off.
You’ll read the copy, then go to sleep.
First thing in the morning, if you can swing it, you’ll wake up, read the training lesson, and hand copy the ad or sales letter (most hand copying assignments are short).
Then, you’ll check the Facebook group, watch a video of me explaining more about the assignment, and discuss the ad with others.
Question: “Is it mostly just handwriting?”
Nope!
Again, CopyHour follows a full SALES MESSAGE STRUCTURE that you can use. Each assignment will show you how the ads and sales messages we’re looking at fit into this structure.
I break out the most important elements of a sales messages to focus on — Headlines, Leads, Sales Arguments, Offers, and Closes.
I also go deep on prospect Awareness Levels and other Advanced copywriting strategies and tactics.
Using the structures I’ve developed, you really won’t have any excuse for NOT being able to write a successful ad, sales letter, email series, content marketing piece or any other sales message in 3 months time.
Simply follow the structure, and you’ll be ahead of 95% of people writing copy out there.
- You’ll know exactly how to START a sales page, VSL, or homepage.
- What to say in the ad leading to your sales letter.
- What type of headline to write.
- How to structure the “middle” portion of your letter.
- What to include in your offer…
- And how to close the letter with logical and emotional arguments.
On top of this structure I also have a FULL RESEARCH PROCESS. I’ll show you, from start to finish, how to gather the information you need to write a persuasive message.
Question: “Does CopyHour teach me how to get copywriting clients?”
The main focus of CopyHour is on building the skill of writing copy… that’s why it works well for both freelancers and business owners.
But, I realized very early on that a lot of CopyHour members want training on getting clients… so I’ve added a bonus program to CopyHour called “The Cartel”.
The Cartel is training for beginning freelancers and marketing consultants on getting clients.
It includes training materials, swipe files & marketing templates for your freelance copywriting business.
To create the training materials for the Cartel, I brought in Ed Stapleton Jr.
You’re going to love Ed – he’s a copywriter & a marketing consultant based in New York.
Ed is a fantastic person to spearhead this group because he’s successful… but in a different way. He’s not an uber-guru who gets clients based solely on his relative fame &/or a fancy blog. He doesn’t even have a website.
Ed’s essentially sitting right where you are right now (besides the referrals he gets) when he’s searching for new work.
And Ed is still able to demand high prices – he doesn’t normally take a job for less than $10,000. He’s currently MILKING a percentage deal with a roofer who is doing 5 million a year.
Some of our early success stories include:
Anne – She booked her first job with a personal trainer. It’s a 10 month contract and she gets paid at the beginning of each month. You can listen to our interview with her when you join.
Debra – Her first job was a 6 month, $12,000 contract! Wowza. Debra paid for the equivalent of 240 months of Cartel membership with that job.
Blake – Blake had literally been studying copywriting for 1 month before he landed his first job… and then 2 weeks later he booked his first 4 figure job.
This product previously sold for $30/month. You’ll get lifetime access for free (no on-going charges) which makes this bonus worth $500.
FYI: You’ll get IMMEDIATE access to the Cartel when you join.
Question: “So what that makes CopyHour the best copywriting training course on the planet?”
I’m glad you asked. 🙂
Handwriting + Curation + Group Accountability + Training
Tell me another product out there that’s making writing sales copy so easy, simple, and clear. You can’t.
And that’s why companies are sending their marketing and copywriting team members to CopyHour to get up-to-speed fast.
Automatic — the billion dollar company that started a little thing called “WordPress” — sent over 3 members of their team to CopyHour last year.
I just want you to imagine for a second what it’ll be like to write sales copy that converts. What will that mean for you and your business? That’s what I’m ultimately delivering with CopyHour.
“I can’t join right now, will CopyHour open again soon?”
Prepare yourself for a statement that will sound like hypey marketing speak!
Each year and I tweak the launch model for CopyHour — especially when I find something that I think will help the most amount of customers.
So, CopyHour will most likely open again for a group round in July but it’s not 100% and I don’t know at what price point.
This course & community are constantly evolving – and the price has steadily been rising. I’m building businesses right along side you all (our organic beauty product subscription business is growing steadily).
I have “skin in the game” and CopyHour is starting to dominate my time.
Listen, I’ve made the majority of my best money decisions quickly — especially when there’s high upside and low risk.
Ask anybody in the marketing business if CopyHour is worth the investment? Literally ask anyone… they’ll tell you it is.
That’s your upside: “What if Derek’s not lying about this handwriting exercise & the value of CopyHour?” What if Dan Ferrari, Dan Meredith, Ramit Sethi, Sean Ogle, Ian Stanley, Ryan Levesque, Mike Hrostki, and Lindsay Sacks aren’t lying?
And your downside… if they are lying? You can get a refund. That’s as close to zero risk as anything you’ll find in life right there.
